Job summary

DUAL Personal Lines is strengthening its data engineering team to empower underwriting analytics. You will own and evolve the data platforms, including the lakehouse, and ensure governance, quality and security across data products.

We seek a 5+ year data engineering expert proficient in Python/SQL, Azure services, and data modelling (Star Schema) for Power BI. A collaborative, agile environment with cross-team interaction awaits.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Data Management principles in a Lakehouse architecture.
• At least 5 years’ experience in data engineering and building data pipelines.
• Proven track record in Data Engineering and supporting the business to gain true insight from data.
• Experience in data integration and modelling including ELT pipelines.
• Hands on experience designing and delivering solutions using Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience working with Data Architects for technical design
• Experience on the design of data models (Star Schema) for use in Power BI.
• Insurance analysis, MI or reporting experience
• Understanding and adherence to CI/CD principles

Responsibilities

• Engineer DUAL Personal Lines’ data platforms and data lakehouse to enhance underwriting analytics.
• Build, test and deploy data products with governance.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers and system owners to align data standards.
• Maintain the data model and data integrity across the lakehouse.
• Support underwriting analytics and reporting with accurate data.
• Work in Agile/DevOps to deliver data products.
• Productionise ML pipelines with Group Data Science team.
