Job Opportunity: Cancer Services Administrative Support

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our cancer services team. Under the guidance of the Cancer Manager and Cancer Data Analyst, the successful candidate will:

  • Undertake a full range of administrative support tasks within the Cancer Services Department.
  • Ensure all work outputs meet high standards of quality, complying with Information Governance, RMS, CQC standards, and all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Main Duties

The post holder will:

  • Adhere to all work-related policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
  • Utilize appropriate technology and equipment efficiently to support administrative and secretarial functions, aiding in patient care.
  • Participate in relevant training, development, and appraisal processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify risks proactively and take corrective actions to meet NHS Cancer Plan targets.
  • Accurately record patient information in line with departmental requirements.
  • Assist in data entry into trust clinical systems, following all policies and procedures.
Person Specification
  • Experience in data collection and validation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This position requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. Applicants will need to undergo a DBS check to verify any criminal convictions.
