Job summary

NorthStandard is seeking a motivated Data Graduate to join our Data Engineering team in the UK. You will work with data engineers, BI developers, data analysts and business stakeholders to build reliable data solutions, supporting reporting and decision making.

You will learn SQL, Python, Databricks, Power BI and other tools while gaining hands-on experience with data warehouses, ETL processes and BI solutions in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in STEM, Data, or Computer Science.
  • Proactive and curious attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
  • Knowledge of dimensional data modelling.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps.
  • Power BI / Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in a hybrid environment with data engineers, data architects, and IT teams to ensure data pipelines and warehouse structures meet analytical needs.
  • Write business reports using approved company software development standards.
  • Test new reports and modifications using appropriate hardware and software environments.
  • Work on small changes and data requests using SQL and Python.
  • Monitor pipelines and alerts.
  • Participate in team ceremonies and knowledge sharing activities.
  • Learn the business domain and develop knowledge of SQL, Python, Databricks, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and other relevant tools.
