Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data governance principles and stewardship models.
• Experience with data quality, metadata management, cataloguing and lineage.
• Understanding of data security, access controls, GDPR, retention and audit processes.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms and data products.
• Ability to translate governance strategy into scalable processes.
• Strong analytical skills and governance reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain and evolve Whitbread's data governance framework and operating model.
• Establish governance requirements for new data pipelines and data products.
• Own governance processes including approvals, checklists and exception handling.
• Drive data ownership and accountability across teams.
• Lead adoption of data catalogue, metadata, classification and lineage standards.
• Oversee data quality frameworks, monitoring, controls and remediation.
