Job summary

Slalom is helping organisations transform governance of data into measurable business value. The Data Governance Lead will drive discovery, design and implementation of governance frameworks, data quality and master data approaches across client engagements in the UK market.

You’ll partner with clients and teams to define strategies, operating models and metadata standards, enabling trustworthy, accessible and actionable data for business decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data governance platforms such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Purview, Alation, Atlan, Collibra and Ataccama.
• Experience defining DG strategies, frameworks, operating models and workflows.
• Strong collaboration with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into governance requirements.
• Passion for delivering data governance that creates real business value.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Data Governance discovery phase with business interviews and asset inventory.
• Develop and revise data governance strategies, frameworks, operating models, and workflows with clients and teams.
• Define metadata requirements, data lineage, scanning schedules, and implement data catalog tools.
• Assess data quality, remediate issues, create quality rules, metrics, and monitoring.
• Enhance Master Data Management solutions with cleansing, enrichment, and approval workflows.
• Train and coach data stewards on rules, policies, standards, and proper data usage.
