Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a Data Governance Consultant to embed enterprise-grade governance, data trust, and stewardship in secure data environments. You will bridge technical delivery teams and senior client stakeholders.

Location: Corsham; 1 day onsite. Duration: 6 months. Active SC clearance is mandatory. You will work with governance platforms and drive measurable business value through data governance practices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing governance models in complex data environments.
• Hands-on configuration or delivery of governance platforms and metadata ecosystems.
• Ability to translate governance principles into measurable business value.

Responsibilities

• Discovery & Assessment: interview stakeholders, evaluate current-state data maturity, map critical workflows.
• Strategy & Architecture: design governance operating models, policy frameworks, and lifecycle processes.
• Catalog & Lineage Deployment: structure glossaries, metadata schemas, lineage tracking, asset scanning schedules.
• Data Quality Management: establish validation rules, baseline thresholds, monitoring, remediation paths.
• Master Data Solutions: support MDM initiatives with domain mapping and workflows.
• Stewardship Enablement: mentor data stewards on policies and procedures.
