Job summary

Michael Page represents a well-established financial services organisation embarking on a major data transformation. The role leads enterprise data governance, AI readiness, and data quality across a sophisticated investment platform.

You will partner with Technology, Compliance, and Information Security to ensure protection, access controls and regulatory compliance, while driving automation and AI-enabled governance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years' experience in a relevant role within financial services.
• Hands-on with enterprise data governance and quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms, metadata, lineage and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, classification, stewardship, and management of enterprise data assets.
• Develop and maintain data catalogues, metadata, lineage, and business data definitions.

Job Description

• Lead the governance, classification, stewardship, and management of enterprise data assets.
• Develop and maintain data catalogues, metadata, lineage, and business data definitions to improve transparency and control.
• Establish and oversee data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, issue management processes, and remediation activities.
• Partner with Technology, Compliance, and Information Security teams to ensure effective data protection, access governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive the adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions to enhance governance processes and scale data management capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 10+ years' experience in a relevant role with significant financial services industry experience.
• Demonstrated success implementing and operating enterprise-wide data governance and quality frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or similar solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, metadata management, lineage, access controls, and data governance considerations related to AI.
