Job description

We are preparing Chanel for the future by delivering a global, harmonised, cloud-based Finance and Operations ERP solution through Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Central to this transformation is the implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework, encompassing data ownership, quality, retention, a unified data dictionary, supported by robust processes, procedures, and documentation.

This is a role based in our London office, reporting to our Global D365 Data Lead, with responsibility for all data governance initiatives linked to this technical implementation across multiple regions and markets. You will engage closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and driving change management to support successful outcomes.

In addition to your expertise in data, your ability to collaborate and influence will be a key to success in this role. As data becomes ever more critical — especially with the rapid advances in AI and analytics — this role offers you the chance to lay the groundwork for high-quality, accessible data that will power innovation at Chanel.

What Impact You Create At Chanel
  • Promote the adoption of a D365 data governance framework with Chanel regions and markets, while ensuring the quality and priority of our data within financial and operational processes.
  • Ensure consistent data handling within the organisation and have a lasting impact on data consistency at Chanel by collaborating with our Global Data Governance team.
  • Make tangible improvements to the company's day-to-day activities by supporting the creation of new data governance processes and standards, and guiding the activities of data owners and stewards.
You are energised by
  • Working in a fast‑paced, agile environment, where you are exposed to a diverse range of topics related to data and data governance.
  • Understanding the data ecosystem and where there may be data governance gaps that need addressing; having the freedom for creative problem solving and identifying opportunities.
  • Exploring regional variations in technology and business processes, and understanding the impact this has on data governance.
  • Connecting with various stakeholders across the business, putting yourself in their shoes and adapting your communications based on their priorities.
What You Will Bring
  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills (preferably Power BI).
  • Engaging presenter/communicator, with passion for storytelling and the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Knowledge of key data governance concepts: such as Data Quality, Master Data Management and Data Ownership.
  • Intermediate level of programming (preferably Python and SQL).
  • Team player with willingness to adapt, learn and challenge yourself.
  • Ability to manage your time, allowing you to handle multiple priorities and topics simultaneously.
What Chanel Can Offer You
  • Work closely with teams across different regions, gaining insight into global finance and operations in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Grow essential soft skills—such as collaboration, prioritisation, and stakeholder management—by working with colleagues who bring diverse perspectives and needs, and by aligning regional priorities to a global vision.
  • Make a meaningful, lasting impact on how a global organisation manages its data, shaping best practices and setting standards that support Chanel’s future.

At Chanel, we are focused on creating an inclusive culture that nurtures personal growth, contributing to collective progress. We believe the uniqueness of each individual increases the diversity, complementarity and effectiveness of our teams. We strongly encourage your application, as we value the perspective, experience and potential you could bring to Chanel.
