Job summary

iO Associates in London seeks an interim Data Governance Specialist to build and scale a data foundation from the ground up. You will define and roll out governance, lineage, and compliance frameworks across high-assurance defence products. Design and implement data governance, quality, and metadata frameworks.

Ensure compliance with UK MOD security controls, JSP guidelines, and UK GDPR. Map data lineage and build asset catalogs across cloud/on-prem stacks.

Qualifications

• Active UK SC Clearance (non-negotiable).
• Track record delivering data governance in defence, government, or high-security domains.
• Hands-on experience with modern data catalogues and governance tools.
• Ability to work at pace in an agile startup environment.
