Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 2,100 people in the UK. Boeing Defence UK engineering function operates a matrix organisation consisting of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department. The Department consists of the following technical areas:
Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
Reliability and Maintainability
Logistic Support Analysis
Obsolescence Management
Technical Publications
Integrated Logistic Support Engineering

As a DE Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to support and review fleet data analysis, drive digital data exploitation, and develop core capabilities to identify and implement data-driven enhancements that improve business and programme performance. You will report to the DE Team Lead and BDUK Support Engineering Manager, with technical support from other specialists within the department.
In your role, you will:
Utilise aircraft fleet data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making and enhance operational performance
Work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across all projects
Set, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for DE activities to measure progress and success
Drive continuous improvement in data exploitation processes and methodologies to optimise efficiency and effectiveness
Aside from your technical work you there is the potential to support company initiatives, for example, quality improvements, promoting a safety culture, promoting Diversity and Inclusion, mentoring and coaching, STEM outreach and a number of focus projects to support the growth of the company and its employees.
Essential Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
Data Proficiency: Experienced in working with data and software, with advanced skills in data analysis, modelling, and calculations
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including the creation of dashboards
Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Familiarity with how Data Exploitation integrates with R&M, Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS, and Asset Management
Commitment to Quality: Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality results
PreferredQualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
Aircraft Maintenance Experience: Prior experience in aircraft maintenance
Data-Driven Environment: Comfortable working in a data-centric environment, using analytics to guide decision-making
Defence Background: A background in the defence industry
Effective Communicator: Strong communicator with a proactive, solution-focused attitude, committed to delivering high-quality outcomes
Knowledge and experience of database manipulation and management including BI tools with a strong background in development
This role is onsite position with flexible working hours.
