Job summary

Leonardo S.p.A. is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain data architecture that transforms raw data into processed data to support evolving business needs.

You will own the DataOps infrastructure ensuring performance, reliability and scalability of ingestion and processing pipelines. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to combine data from multiple sources, with proficiency in programming languages and data technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience as data or software engineer in a similar role.
• Strong ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and warehouses.
• Familiar with DataOps, CI/CD, containerisation and workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and big data tools.

Responsibilities

• Ingest, process and store raw data into structured and unstructured repositories.
• Design, develop, deploy and support data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Automate data ingestion with reliable, scalable solutions.
• Support batch processing and real-time data streaming capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists, IT and architects on projects.
• Implement data governance and quality measures.
