Job summary

Primus Connect is seeking an experienced Lead/Principal Data Engineer to shape a modern data platform. You'll lead a talented engineering team through an Azure Databricks Lakehouse transformation, influencing technical direction and delivering scalable data products.

As Data Engineering Manager, you'll balance people management, technical guidance, and delivery excellence, partnering with Product, Architecture and regional data teams to drive outcome‑focused delivery and measurable business

Qualifications

Proven experience leading Data Engineering teams.
Experience delivering data products on modern data platforms.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a high performing Data Engineering team.
Drive delivery of valuable, high quality data products through iterative, outcome‑focused delivery.
Guide technical decision making and support architectural trade offs across the data platform.
Champion engineering best practices, platform reliability, observability and operational excellence.
Continuously improve team processes using feedback and metrics to increase quality and delivery speed.
Partner closely with Product Managers to shape roadmaps and balance short-term delivery with long-term platform health.
Collaborate with senior technology stakeholders to define the future direction of the data estate.
