Job summary

Accenture PLC is seeking a Data Engineer Manager in London to lead data architecture initiatives, shaping enterprise data strategies and modern data platforms on Azure. You will mentor teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and ensure scalable, governance-driven data solutions across multiple client projects.

The role requires hands-on architectural experience with Fabric, Databricks and Synapse, plus strong leadership and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering or Technology Architecture.
• Strong enterprise experience with Microsoft Azure Data and Analytics.
• Hands-on architectural experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Databricks/Synapse.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data lakes, lakehouses and data warehouses.
• Experience with data governance and privacy using Purview.
• Understanding AI/ML and Generative AI data architectures.
• Proven experience leading technical teams in large projects.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise data strategies, target architectures and roadmaps.
• Architect modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake and Power BI.
• Design scalable data lake, lakehouse, data warehouse and data integration solutions.
• Establish data governance, security, quality, metadata and lineage using Purview.
• Provide architecture leadership for Data & AI, analytics and Generative AI initiatives.
• Lead architecture reviews, technology selection and assurance across programmes.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to shape data strategy and solutions.
• Lead and mentor Data Architects and Data Engineers.
• Support proposals, estimates and business development.
• Build relationships with clients and Microsoft partners.
• Shape strategy and roadmaps for client AI and data architectures.
• Provide ongoing architectural support ensuring scalable, sound designs.
