The ideal candidate should deliver high-quality output within challenging timelines, with the ability to start quickly and make valuable contributions.

0-12 months you’ll deliver

1. Support the Head of Data Engineering and contribute to establishing/enforcing best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies for the team. Drive continuous improvement in data engineering processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
2. Manage a team of skilled data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
3. Contribute to defining and executing the data engineering roadmap, collaborating with technical and business leaders to align initiatives with overall business goals.
4. Maintain a deep understanding of the technical stack, including Scala, Python, SQL, Snowflake, and DBT. Offer technical guidance to the team when facing complex challenges.
5. Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design and optimize data models, pipelines, and workflows supporting data transformation, integration, and analysis.
6. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across pipelines. Implement monitoring, alerting, and quality control mechanisms to proactively address issues.
7. Work closely with business teams, analysts, and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver timely data solutions.
8. Plan, prioritize, and oversee multiple data engineering projects ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in data engineering, focusing on building scalable data pipelines, integration, and transformation.
• Strong leadership and management skills in data engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Scala, Python, SQL, Snowflake, and DBT.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering innovative data solutions.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
