A prominent financial institution is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to lead a team within its General Insurance platform in Leeds. The role entails designing and implementing innovative data solutions, mentoring staff, and driving automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in programming and big data technologies, and will contribute to the strategic direction of engineering delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
As a Data Engineer within the 'General Insurance' (GI) platform, you'll be responsible for leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team of Data Engineers, taking accountability for all delivery and operational activities. You'll be passionate about technology, both current and future trends, and will look for opportunities to bring these into the platform, whilst being a role model for your team and colleagues around you.
