Job summary

Halfords is seeking a senior data engineering leader to shape and evolve its data platforms at a pivotal stage. You will lead teams that design, build, and operate data platforms underpinning analytics, BI and data products, moving from fragmented landscapes to a unified, scalable, trusted platform with Databricks at core.

Working with the Director of Data, AI and Analytics, you will define the engineering direction, set standards and drive the transition from legacy and fragmented environments

Qualifications

• Seasoned data engineering leader with experience delivering platforms at scale.
• Experience with modern data platforms and Databricks.
• Proven ability to work across cloud data services and legacy environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the data engineering strategy across the business.
• Evolve legacy landscapes into unified, scalable data platforms with Databricks at core.
• Lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team with technical direction.
• Establish engineering standards across the data development lifecycle.
