Job summary

Bauer Media Audio is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data & Decision Sciences (DDS) team in London. You will design, build and maintain scalable data solutions that power audience insights and commercial performance across markets.

You'll work with Python, SQL and cloud platforms to deliver reliable pipelines, ensure data quality and support modern data architecture. The role offers hybrid working with occasional in-office collaboration at Euston.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience building production data solutions.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and engineering workflows.
• Solid SQL and data modeling knowledge.
• Experience with AWS is preferred, with Azure/GCP also valued.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab or similar version control platforms.
• ETL/ELT best practices and practical problem-solving mindset.
• Proactive ownership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimise ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Develop and support data workflows with orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Work with cloud-based data platforms to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across sources.
• Evolve modern data architecture and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to deliver data products.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot challenges and implement scalable solutions.
