Job summary

CNWL NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Central Business Intelligence (BI) Data Engineering Team on a 12‑month development secondment. You will design, implement and optimise data pipelines to load and maintain the data warehouse across clinical, financial and operational sources, migrating from SQL Server to Snowflake.

You will work with SQL Server, Snowflake, SSIS and dbt, applying Python for ETL/ELT, and develop scalable, secure data models to support NHS reporting

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines for data warehouses.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tooling (SSIS, dbt) and BI visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise data pipelines to load and maintain the data warehouse across multiple sources.
• Develop scalable data models and metadata repositories to support reporting and analytics.
