Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Coverflex. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer in Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Build, manage, and optimize scalable data systems and pipelines, while contributing to their overall architecture.
  • Transform, organize, and evaluate raw data into clean, structured, and reliable datasets.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and analysts to turn business needs into technical solutions.
  • Integrate and combine data from multiple sources to support analytics, predictive, and prescriptive modeling.
  • Continuously monitor and improve data pipeline performance, quality, and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of a semantic layer and self-service analytics for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for new data acquisition, enrichment, and automation.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong expertise in DBT, SQL, Python, and data orchestration frameworks (Prefect or similar).
  • Proven experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data mining, and big data processing.
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining pipelines in cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency with relational databases and handling semi-structured/tabular data.
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Lightdash or Hex.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
