Our global organization is responsible for all engineering and operational tasks of the Control Center product: feature development, release, production operations, customer support. Cisco's IoT group is responsible for supporting over 140 million connected devices every day. About This Role

The Data Engineer will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing large datasets to support data-driven decision-making within the Provider Mobility business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data engineering, and a passion for uncovering insights that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support the generation of business metrics.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand metric requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate metrics to stakeholders.
  • Design and optimize database performance and ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, metric calculations, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark)
