Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Engineer to shape data products across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Reality Labs, Threads. You will design scalable data architectures, build data artifacts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth, product insights, and user experiences at a massive scale.

You will create robust data models, optimize pipelines, and mentor teammates while aligning with privacy and governance standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language.
• Experience integrating AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and own data architecture for large-scale projects, evaluating cost-benefit tradeoffs.
• Create and contribute to data logging frameworks and triage issues with data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to represent data insights clearly.
• Define and manage SLAs for all data sets in ownership areas.
• Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations for diverse use cases.
• Solve data integration problems using ETL patterns and diverse data sources.
• Mentor teammates with actionable feedback.
