Job summary

ViVA Tech Talent is seeking a Data Engineer in the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland). This early-career role focuses on hands-on data pipeline work, ETL/ELT development, and collaboration with analysts to deliver reliable datasets.

You will build and maintain data pipelines, work with cloud platforms, and develop reporting tools while documenting processes and improving data quality. A strong foundation in Python and data warehousing concepts is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' postgraduate experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on with building data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Experience with Google Sheets and Google Apps Script.
• Familiar with at least one cloud platform for storage/processing.
• Proficiency in Python or similar language.
• Knowledge of data warehousing tools (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt).
• Git/CI-CD experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Build automation and reporting tools using Google Sheets and Google Apps Script.
• Work with cloud platforms for data storage and processing.
• Support the design of data models and data warehouses.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver reliable datasets.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Document technical processes and workflows.
