Data Engineer - Outside IR35

Job summary

LA International is recruiting a Data Engineer for an initial 3–6 month contract outside IR35 in London. The role focuses on data analysis, engineering, and building scalable data pipelines.

The candidate will work with Advanced SQL, GCP, DBT, Snowflake, and lakehouse architectures, with two office days per week in West London. Immediate CV submission is requested.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL for high-performance data transformation, exploration and optimisation.
• Cloud-based ETL and data warehousing, including dimensional modelling and pipeline design.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of DBT for building and managing data pipelines.
• Understanding of modelling and data flow concepts.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, iceberg and lakehouse architectures.

We are looking for data engineers with data analysis and engineering expertise.

Skills

• Advanced SQL - for high-performance data transformation, exploration, and optimisation across large, complex datasets
• Cloud-Based ETL & Data Warehousing - delivering large-scale data warehousing solutions, including dimensional modelling and ETL pipeline design
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool) for building and managing data pipelines.
• Modelling & Data Flow Understanding
• Knowledge of Snowflake, iceberg and lake house architecture
