Job summary

Copello Global is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to work on a transformative MoD programme that will shape the British Army’s future data capability. You will operate as an SME on Data Strategy and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

The role is based near Westbury, Wiltshire with hybrid working: 2–3 days on site. You will design scalable data pipelines, enforce standards, and evaluate new tools while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Cloud platforms experience across AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI.
• Programming skills in Python, Scala or Java.
• Experience transforming data and building pipelines.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Security and Compliance of Data Environments.
• Author, review and contribute to relevant documentation.
• Assist in design of scalable, high-performance platforms and pipelines.
• Define and enforce data engineering standards.
• Act as an SME on Data Strategy.
• Evaluate, select and integrate new tools into the data ecosystem.
