Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support a large-scale on-premise to cloud migration. You'll play a key role in ensuring existing on-prem reporting remains operational throughout the transition.

• Location: London (1 day/week in office)
• Rate: Up to £450/day, Inside IR35
• Contract: Until end of 2025, with strong potential to extend
• Working Model: Hybrid

Key Skills (in order of priority):

• SQL (advanced)
• Python
• SAS
• Building and maintaining data pipelines (ideally using AWS: S3, Glue, Athena, EMR)
• Spark, Hadoop, or other big data frameworks
• Data modelling (star/snowflake schemas), governance, and compliance awareness
