Job summary

And Digital is looking for a talented Data Engineer (Contract) to join our UK team in Skipton. You will build pipelines that bring data to life for decision making, and work hands-on with data quality, flow and organisation to deliver real value for clients.

You’ll code in Python and SQL, leverage Snowflake and Azure DataBricks, and apply DataOps practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and AI-enabled data usage will help you succeed in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines for decision support.
• Hands-on data work with emphasis on quality and data flow.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake and Azure DataBricks.
• Understanding of AI usage of data.
• Exposure to at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) and related services.
• Familiar with DataOps concepts.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Develop pipelines that brings data to life for decision making, either delivering insight or for more sophisticated data science applications
• Be confident in being hand on with data, applying the practicalities of quality, flow, and organisation of information.
• Bring experience in coding in Python and SQL
• Have solid experience of Snowflake and Azure DataBricks
• Have a good understanding of AI usage of data
• Have exposure to at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) and experience of associated technologies (for example with AWS: DynamoDB, Redshift, Kinesis Pipelines, Glue, Lambda, QuickSight, etc)
• Have experience with DataOps concepts
