Job summary

Lynx Recruitment is seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing consultancy delivering production-grade data platforms for major organisations in the UK. The role is client-facing and involves designing scalable cloud-based data solutions using AWS, Databricks and Agentic AI.

You will work on complex, enterprise-scale projects with clear career progression and structured training. You'll design and implement data pipelines, partner with clients to gather requirements, and apply modern development

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL and DBT.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Databricks.
• Knowledge of AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK, Git and modern development practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for emerging technologies, particularly Agentic AI, and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
• Develop robust data architectures and support the full software development lifecycle.
• Build tooling for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and data quality.
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Explore and apply emerging technologies, including Agentic AI, to improve data engineering processes.
