Job summary

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is recruiting a SAS Developer to join the Debt Management Logistics Team (DEA). You will deliver data integration components and build data-driven analytics for debt management campaigns, transitioning to the Cloud, and supporting BI initiatives.

You will work with SAS, SQL and modern analytics tools to produce reports and visuals, and collaborate with business and tech leads to plan delivery and ensure quality controls.

Qualifications

• You will have academic or commercial experience of writing code using programming languages and analytical tools (SAS, SQL, R, Python).
• You will have experience producing reports, graphics and data visualisations (SAS, Power BI, Python, Tableau).
• You will hold a 2:1 or higher in a numerate degree with 60% in maths, physics or engineering.
• You will communicate your work to non-technical audiences to stakeholders and inform project schedules.
• Experience in developing for 'big data' is advantageous.
• Experience using version control systems such as GitLab.
• SAS Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop architecture and system designs for development, testing and delivery.
• Build data-driven products for analysis and visualisation to drive business performance.
• Deliver system components to integrate the debt management system with operational systems.
• Collaborate with business and technical leads to produce documentation and timelines.
• Develop quality controls to ensure accuracy and appropriate engagement with customers.
