Job summary

Harnham is seeking a data engineer to join a rapidly growing automotive business in the UK. You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT processes, develop data models for analytics, and integrate data from APIs and multiple sources to deliver high-quality datasets for stakeholders.

The role offers hybrid/remote-friendly working with monthly office visits, and the chance to influence platform design while working with Snowflake, dbt and Fivetran in a collaborative data

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Engineering.
• Excellent SQL and data modelling skills.
• Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses.
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines.
• Knowledge of CDC (Change Data Capture) methodologies.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Python scripting and automation experience.
• Experience integrating data from APIs and multiple source systems.
• Snowflake and Fivetran experience would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT processes.
• Develop and optimise data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases and third-party applications.
• Work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets.
• Support customer journey, operational and business performance analytics projects.
• Improve data quality, platform reliability and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and future platform enhancements.
• Work with a modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt and Fivetran.
