Job summary

Reply’s Data Reply team in London seeks a Data Engineer to design and develop high-performance big data applications, manage large data sets, and contribute across the full development lifecycle. You’ll work on multi-tenant cloud projects using SQL, Python, AWS, and Databricks to drive business value while collaborating with global clients.

The role offers extensive training, clear career progression, and exposure to leading brands in a technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT discipline.
  • 1–2 years' experience with big data projects using SQL and Python, ETL/ELT, data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Databricks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Interest in pursuing a specialist Data Engineer career path.
  • Strong foundation in Pandas, NumPy, and JSON in Python.
  • Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Lambda, RDS, CDK/Terraform, DynamoDB.
  • Willingness to travel locally for client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
  • Design and develop high-performing end-to-end big data applications in a multi-tenant cloud.
  • Develop tools for data acquisition, transformation, and management of large data sets.
  • Involve in design, development, build, deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Research emerging technologies to bring business value through early adoption.
