Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing data team delivering a large-scale data transformation programme. The role focuses on building and optimising ETL pipelines, enhancing data quality and governance, and migrating operational data to a modern enterprise platform.

You will work with Azure data stack, REST APIs, ADLS and Power BI to support business priorities. The position offers hybrid working (2-3 days onsite) and a 6-month contract inside IR35.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years' experience in Data Engineering
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms and engineering best practices
• Comfortable working across data integration, transformation and optimisation initiatives
• Able to quickly get up to speed and add value within an established team

Responsibilities

• Build and optimise ETL/data pipelines across multiple data sources
• Improve data processes, governance and data quality
• Work with large, complex datasets to support business priorities
• Develop solutions using the Azure data stack
• Support the migration of operational data from legacy SQL environments to a strategic insights platform
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions
