Job summary

UPP, the UK's leading provider of on-campus accommodation infrastructure, is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data & Business Intelligence team in London. You will design, maintain and optimise cloud-based data pipelines in Azure Databricks and Azure SQL, enabling BI, reporting and analytics across our portfolio.

Working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions, ensure data quality and manage resources for

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Experience with Azure, Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.
• Ability to work with multiple data sources and ensure data quality.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimise scalable data pipelines and ETL processes in Azure Databricks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure data quality and consistency through validation and monitoring.
• Design data models in Databricks and Azure SQL environments.
• Prepare data for reporting, analytics and BI.
• Support Power BI reporting and dashboards with the BI team.
• Manage and optimise Azure and Databricks resources for performance and cost.
• Implement monitoring, security and compliance controls for the data platform.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
