Aspire Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for our Gateshead head office to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes. You will work with Azure data services and modern data technologies to deliver reliable data insights and support business growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL / SparkSQL) for data manipulation, transformation, and querying.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Data Vault and Kimball data modelling.
• Experience designing and optimising ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale data processing.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Implement data engineering best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and quality.
• Work with structured and unstructured data sources, transforming them into business insights.
• Develop, test, and deploy robust, production-ready code using relevant programming languages and data technologies.
• Optimise data storage and retrieval solutions to ensure high performance and cost efficiency.
• Deploy and manage data infrastructure within Azure.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and tools to improve data engineering processes.
• Work with stakeholders across the business to understand data challenges and deliver solutions through to adoption.
