Job summary

Crédit Agricole CIB Global Markets Research in the UK is expanding its data team to enhance macroeconomic and sectoral data capabilities. The Data Engineer/Data Analyst will work on data extraction, integration, quality assurance, and reporting to support analysts, traders and clients.

The role emphasizes building scalable data pipelines, developing models and dashboards using Power BI, and collaborating across regions to deliver reliable data infrastructure for research decisions.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Master’s degree in a relevant field (data engineering, CS, analytics).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Git, and C#.
• Experience with data modeling concepts and dashboards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work in English or French.
• Autonomous, team-spirited, organized and rigorous.

Responsibilities

• Extract data from databases and APIs and integrate into a central data system.
• Clean, format and validate data for consistency and usability.
• Develop data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Automate data updates with scripts.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate data needs into infrastructure.
• Prepare reports and visualizations of data extraction results.
• Suggest new tools and methods to improve workflows.
• Develop quantitative indicators to support research analysis.
