DescriptionWe are looking for a Data Engineer who is passionate about big data, has a strong interest in developing scalable data architecture, and enjoys optimizing and building data systems from the ground up. The ideal candidate will support our engineers, data scientists, and data analysts on data initiatives supporting our mission to deliver cutting-edge insights.
What you will be doing- Design and implement scalable and reliable data architectures to support advanced analytics and business intelligence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and integrate new data sources
- Ensure data integrity, security, and efficiency in developing, testing, and maintaining our data infrastructure
- Optimize data processing and storage procedures to enhance performance and cost-efficiency
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing
- Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and quality of data
- Create and implement data governance policies in line with industry standards
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and techniques in data engineering, advocating for their adoption where appropriate
- Document the data architecture and procedures, providing guidance and training to team members on best practices
Your profile and experienceWe're looking for a
Junior or
Mid-level candidate to join our team.
The professional skills and competencies we are looking for in a
junior candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience in using SQL and Python
- Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Basic understanding of CICD
The professional skills and competencies we are looking for in a
mid-level candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, with a proven track record in designing scalable and reliable data architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Expertise with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow)
- Proven expertise in modeling data using SQL
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Deep understanding of Snowflake's architecture and ecosystem
Nice to have:
- Formal certifications from Snowflake and dbt
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks
- Experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Athena, RDS, Batch, Lambda, and Glue
- Experience in implementing data governance
- Experience with Terraform
