Eden Smith Group is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and modernise scalable data platforms for a prominent UK charity. You will work on data pipelines, integration across sources, and reporting/analytics to support mission-critical operations.

The role focuses on robust ETL design, data quality, and governance, with hybrid working options and opportunities to implement modern cloud data platforms that empower decision-making for pets and their owners across the UK.

As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and modernising scalable data solutions that enable better decision-making across the organisation. The Role

You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining robust data platforms, pipelines, and integration solutions that support reporting, analytics, and operational systems across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions and platforms.
• Developing and optimising ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Working across multiple data sources to ensure data quality, integrity, and performance.
• Supporting SQL Server environments, including SSIS, SSRS, and related technologies.
• Developing solutions using Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, and packages.
• Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to understand and deliver data requirements.
• Troubleshooting data issues and driving continuous improvement across the data estate.
• Supporting best practice around documentation, security, and data governance.

About You

We're looking for a technically strong Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and delivering high-quality solutions.
