Job summary

Pulse Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme, delivering modern data capabilities with AI-enabled solutions. The role is hands‑on and focused on building new data capabilities rather than BAU.

You will work with Databricks, SQL and Python, translating business needs into scalable data architectures and collaborating with stakeholders to embed AI/LLM capabilities into the data platform.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Databricks, SQL and Python in data engineering.
• dbt experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Retail, e-commerce or consumer digital experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Interest in applying AI/LLMs in modern data environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building new data capabilities rather than BAU/support.

Key requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with Databricks
• Strong SQL and Python
