Job summary

I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established investment management firm looking to hire a Data Engineer to help evolve its data platform and improve how data is managed across the business.

This is a hands-on role focused on SQL, Snowflake, ETL, data quality and automation, with the opportunity to apply AI to improve processes and reduce manual effort. You'll work closely with teams across the business to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions that have a real impact.

The Role

• Build and optimise SQL-based data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Monitor and improve data quality, validation and operational controls.
• Automate manual processes using modern tools and AI.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Support data governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need

• Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL pipelines.
• Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data platform.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance and automation.
• Python and/or Power BI experience is beneficial.
• An interest in AI and applying it to solve business problems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Financial services experience is advantageous but not essential.
