Lead Data Engineer – Washington, Tyne & Wear

The Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining data solutions aligned with our business objectives. This role involves designing and implementing software within our Data Warehouse platform, ensuring solutions are efficient, secure, and meet stakeholder needs.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Proficiency in data operation languages such as SQL, Python, Scala, and R.
  2. Experience with Big Data Technologies like Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Synapse, Spark, Kafka, and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL).
  3. Knowledge of data integration and ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage large datasets.
  5. Experience collaborating with data operations teams.

Skills and experience you should demonstrate:

  1. D365 F&O experience.
  2. Experience in an e-commerce or supply chain environment.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Science, or a related field.
