Data Engineer (Remote UK/EU, £60k)

This start-up focuses on healthcare AI and is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. You will be joining a team of 45 people, including Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and 2 Data Engineers.

Day-to-day you will:

• Monitor, optimise, and rebuild ETL / Delta Lake workflows in Databricks.
• Migrate legacy ingestion jobs to modern, cloud-native patterns (Azure preferred, some AWS/GCP).
• Collaborate with scientists to understand study goals, e.g., young mental health surveys, and shape the data architecture behind them.
• Own parts of the backend and grow towards analytics, ML, or architecture as you choose.

About you

• 2-3 years' experience (or outstanding graduate projects) in data engineering.
• Solid Python or R plus SQL; comfortable with Spark / Databricks.
• STEM degree (CS, Math, Physics, or similar).
• Curious, collaborative.
