Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing and maintaining data platforms. You will support the deployment and maintenance of applications and services at the data layer, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all platform data sets. This includes working with Microsoft SQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide internal and external technical support for data platforms.
• Work within the SQL release pipeline to ensure consistency and reliability of product enhancements across non-production and production environments.
• Conduct code reviews and approve releases.
• Collaborate with the DBA team to assess proposed changes to platform data transformations and structures, ensuring SQL efficiency and database performance.
• Participate in project workstreams focused on data platform enhancements.
• Monitor resource metrics, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues with minimal customer impact.
• Work with product development and platform engineering teams to implement cloud-first solutions for customers.
• Maintain documentation of the data landscape.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including experience with SSIS, SSRS, Python, and cloud-native data tools.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL and file data storage in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Exposure to AWS.
• Understanding of encryption principles and cryptographic artifacts handling.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in application support or data engineering roles.
• Foundational experience writing automation scripts in PowerShell.
• Experience with AWS is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
