Maxwell Bond is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to join an urgent project in Manchester, focusing on Snowflake migrations and a modern data platform build. The role emphasizes delivering scalable pipelines, orchestration workflows, and a robust transformation stack with Snowflake, dbt, Windmill, and Python.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial data engineering experience and is comfortable in a predominantly onsite setup, four days per week in Manchester, with a clear extension potential

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience building and managing data pipelines and workflows using an orchestration tool.
• Experience with dbt and modern data transformation practices.
• Experience working on data migration or platform transformation projects.
• Comfortable working onsite 4 days per week in Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the build-out of a new data platform and system.
• Working on a Snowflake migration project from an existing data environment.
• Designing and developing data pipelines and transformation workflows.
• Using Snowflake, dbt, Windmill and Python as the core technology stack.
• Building and maintaining orchestration processes to support reliable data movement and transformation.
• Working closely with other engineers and technical stakeholders to deliver the new platform.

Are you a hands-on Data Engineer with strong Snowflake experience who enjoys building modern data platforms and working on large-scale migration projects?

Location: Manchester – 4 days onsite

Duration: Initial 3 months (high chance of extension)

We’re looking for a Data Engineer who has:

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Experience building and managing data pipelines and workflows using an orchestration tool
• Experience with dbt and modern data transformation practices
• Experience working on data migration or platform transformation projects
