Your role:

As a Data Engineer, you will join a small team responsible for understanding, managing, and transforming raw data content from various third parties for the trading team, investment quants, and investment desk. Typical responsibilities include combining and transforming raw data into useful insights, analysis, and visualizations, interrogating vendor data endpoints to source and analyze data, and ensuring data consistency, completeness, and accuracy across platforms.

You will develop data dictionaries and documentation, collaborate with technology teams to implement and enhance data systems and processes, and stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data content and tooling.

Location / WFH:

This role is based in our fantastic London (Soho) offices, which offer facilities including balanced breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Please note this is a full-time office-based role (Monday to Friday).

About you:

• You hold a minimum 2.1 in a STEM discipline from a top-tier university (e.g., Russell Group or top 100 global university), with A grades at A-level.
• You possess strong technical skills with Python and SQL, experience with version control, and contributing to shared codebases.
• You have experience with modern data tools and technologies, including Apache Spark and Azure Databricks.
• You have a solid understanding of data management principles and best practices.
• You have experience with data analysis, visualization tools, and techniques.
• You can convey complex data and technical information effectively to front office traders.
• You have an understanding of financial markets and investment management.
