About Bauer Media Audio - Data & Decision Sciences Team

The Data and Decision Sciences (DDS) team is at the core of Bauer Media Audio. We leverage data as a strategic enabler across nine European markets. Our goal is to deliver trusted, actionable insights and robust data solutions that empower business growth, audience engagement, and operational efficiency.

We function as a collaborative, cross-functional unit, bridging data and business strategy. Our centralized capabilities combined with local expertise ensure we deliver impactful business outcomes across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development

  • Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Use Airflow for workflow scheduling and monitoring
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across multiple sources
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on complex data integrations
CUBE Architecture Implementation

  • Support the migration of processes to CUBE architecture
  • Develop data acquisition and processing solutions across markets
  • Work with BigQuery, Redshift
  • Help implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Develop revenue and digital analytics frameworks
Market-Specific Projects

  • Build pipelines for consumer competitions across markets
  • Integrate Braze CRM platform
  • Support audience segmentation and analytics
  • Contribute to monitoring and alerting of data processes
Collaborative Development

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements
  • Participate in code reviews and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues
  • Continuously improve data engineering practices
Key Projects for 2025

  • Expand Consumer Competitions to Portugal, Slovakia, and others
  • Implement Player Segmentation pipeline
  • Migrate AINS (ROMA) to CUBE
  • Develop Digital Analytics data model
  • Integrate with Braze CRM platform
Qualifications

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL (Postgres, Cloud SQL)
  • Python for pipeline development
  • Workflow orchestration (Airflow preferred)
  • Experience with BigQuery, Redshift
Required Experience

  • 2+ years in data engineering or related technical role
  • Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT practices
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
