Job Description
Data Engineer – Remote Working / Londoncirc £60,000 - £70,000

Experienced Data Engineer required for a remote/hybrid position based in West London (near Feltham, Hanworth, Hounslow). The successful candidate should be able to work on-site once or twice a week, or once a month if fully remote. The Data Engineer will join a small team and play a key role in developing and managing data integration projects during the transition from legacy systems to modern infrastructure, reporting, and analytics.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a modern data warehouse (Azure or Snowflake) capable of ingesting data from multiple sources and storing large volumes of data.
  • Develop and implement automated, repeatable data migration processes for multiple project phases.
  • Review data quality assessments, address inconsistencies, and apply data cleansing and validation techniques.
  • Build data pipelines to clean, transform, and aggregate data from various sources.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering.
Requirements
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., MS SQL, Snowflake).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, DBT, AWS Glue, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Power BI and advanced analytics.
  • Good skills in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation.
  • Experience with transformation and replication products like DBT, Airbyte is advantageous.
  • Experience with data migration and mapping complex relational data.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Salary depends on experience, approximately £60,000 - £70,000. Candidates must be authorized to work in the UK without sponsorship.
