Job summary

Harnham - Data & Analytics Recruitment in Liverpool is seeking a Data Engineer to own building and maintaining data pipelines across a modern Microsoft and cloud-based data platform. The role sits in a growing Data Engineering team and offers hybrid working (1 day per week in the office).

You'll work on Azure, Snowflake and Fabric ecosystems, develop ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and provide trusted data assets for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining scalable data solutions across Azure, Snowflake, and Fabric ecosystem.
• Building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Snowflake.
• Developing data warehousing solutions and dimensional data models.
• Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, trusted data assets and documentation.

THE COMPANY:

THE ROLE:

You will take ownership of developing and maintaining scalable data solutions across a modern Azure, Snowflake, and Fabric ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake.
• Developing and supporting data warehousing solutions and dimensional data models.
• Creating and optimising datasets to support reporting, analytics, and business insights.
• Supporting the ongoing migration and development of solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, trusted data assets and documentation.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

You will bring strong capability in:

• Data engineering experience, ideally 1-2 years in a dedicated engineering role.
• Building and maintaining ETL / ELT pipelines.
• Data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working within cloud-based data environments.
