A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our Digital Intelligence Team within the Transformation department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of data pipelines, managing and improving our data infrastructure, and collaborating across teams to support various data-related initiatives. Your technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills will be essential in driving performance and maintaining data integrity for the entire OneSGT organisation.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure the efficient flow of data across various systems and applications. Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance to ensure seamless operations.
  • Create and implement sophisticated analytics models to enhance our data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Implement disaster recovery and data continuity strategies to maintain flawless operations.
  • Develop and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines for ETL processes.
  • Integrate Snowflake and S3 with various data sources to ensure timely and accurate data flow.
  • Utilise Python and Bash to automate tasks, optimising data processing and enhancing overall efficiency.

What You Bring

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in the field of data engineering.
  • Exceptional ability to manage stakeholders and their expectations at all organisational levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, effective at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficient in cloud-based data infrastructure, particularly with Snowflake and S3.
  • A strong passion for driving improvements and a commitment to successfully implementing innovative solutions.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonisation. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonisation opportunities through service offerings, modernisation, and digitalization of the fleet.
