Job description

The Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join our evolving team. We’re always on the lookout for top talent to join our growing business. In fact, we never stand still, we work hard, make quick decisions and deliver to our ambitious goals every day.

As a Data Engineer at Evri, you will play a crucial role in transforming our logistics and delivery data into actionable insights. Primarily working on our Databricks Common Data Platform, you will build and maintain data pipelines that support business initiatives across various domains.

Location: Hybrid role based in Leeds, with flexibility for remote work. Office visits required for key meetings and collaboration sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark to process logistics and delivery data
  • Design ETL workflows that integrate data from multiple delivery and warehouse systems
  • Development of Data Marts on the databricks platform that support strategic initiatives
  • Maintain documentation for all data processes supporting Evri's logistics operations

Technical Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines using SQL and Python
  • Experience with databricks is preferred
  • Familiarity with ETL orchestration tools

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong communication skills for remote team collaboration
  • A passion for data and a desire to develop technical skills
