Job summary

Areti Group | B Corp™ is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to shape a brand-new data platform. The role blends hands-on delivery with strategic input, designing pipelines across multiple layers and aligning data solutions with business needs.

You will work with senior stakeholders, establish engineering standards, and influence the future direction of the organisation’s data capabilities while focusing on practical, scalable data use across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Spark.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Experience building data pipelines and modern data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder communication.
• Focus on improving how data is used, not just maintenance.

Are you a Data Engineer who wants more than just building and maintaining pipelines?

I’m working with a high-growth, technology-led business that is investing heavily in data and building a brand-new data platform to transform how data is collected, managed and used across the organisation.

They’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping that platform from the ground up.

What you’ll be doing

This is a genuinely hands-on role, but with plenty of opportunity to influence the bigger picture.

• Designing and building data pipelines across multiple layers of a new data platform
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and turn them into technical solutions
• Helping shape the infrastructure supporting the platform
• Establishing engineering standards, patterns and best practices
• Working across data cleansing, migration, modelling and transformation
• Supporting governance and providing technical guidance around data
• Identifying new opportunities to improve how data is used across the business
