Job summary

Zealous Agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a data engineer to design and build scalable, secure pipelines across Microsoft Fabric and Azure, translating complex requirements into impactful solutions.

You’ll work cross-functionally with BI, Ops and senior stakeholders to modernise how the business stores, moves and uses data, and you’ll contribute to enterprise data platform initiatives that drive reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering with advanced SQL and data modelling.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.

You’ll be joining a team that works on a crucial enterprise data platform that powers this business. This is high-impact and for someone who wants to shape the data platform, not just maintain it.

You’ll be the type of data engineer who can design and build scalable, secure pipelines across Microsoft Fabric and Azure, and who can translate complex technical requirements into solutions that actually move the business forward. The absolute ideal person is comfortable in architecture session and diving into SQL or PySpark.

You’ll work cross-functionally, partnering with BI, Operations and senior stakeholders, with the freedom to help modernise how the business stores, moves and uses data. If you’re someone who wants to build something that matters rather than just keep the lights on, this is the role for you.

About the role

You’ll design, build and maintain scalable data solutions that support the wider business. You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver robust data pipelines and ensure our enterprise data platform is fit for the future. This role will be central to supporting reporting, analytics and innovation across the organisation.

Key Skills Needed:

• 3-5 years’ experience in data engineering, with advanced SQL and strong data modelling skills


• Some experience with Microsoft Fabric, core experience with Azure Data Factory and the wider Azure data ecosystem essential


• Understanding of data architecture principles


• Experience supporting or mentoring

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Python or PySpark for data processing and transformation


• Familiarity with Power BI and semantic modelling
